This was a Tough one for you! I’m sorry for your loss…and the mothers!

She is eating the afterbirth. That is what she is doing what she is suppose to do. The afterbirth is full of nutrients that will help her with energy and her milk.

My dads been gone 4 yrs my mom 2 yrs it’s hard some little thing can make you start thinking and cry my grandmas been gone for years but I still get tears nothing wrong with that it’s nice to have good family good memories

I don't know why, but I really enjoy your videos. I am not a farmer nor have I ever been exposed to farm life, but I am a retired electrician, and I love to watch your videos. I do love animals of all types. Including farm animals and all pets. You must bring out the hidden farmer inside me. Ha...ha.

I just took 10’x8’x6” forms off my patio. Yes, I did a 5.5” deep dry pour. Kept it wet and dark looking surface for over a week. Where can I send you pix of the edges now that the forms are off? It can’t be driven on, but it will hold multiple people hopefully for decades. I’m 67, put in 90 -50 lb bags myself and had my boys screed and add another 10 bags.

Water is what makes it set. Instead of letting it dry out, you should have kept watering for a few days.

None of it bothers me. I've seen dead calves, having to saw calves in half to get them out, saw the heads off to get them out, most everything. What I enjoy the most I think are the draining of abscesses. I;ve watched loads of Dr. Pol, he's great and explains everything he does, so I've seen it all.

An armchair farmer should keep their mouth shut. I personally have never owned a farm, but my grandfather did and there was no cheaper summer camp that taught me some tough life lessons and the laws of nature. You are doing a fine job sir.
